Ella's Apron

My sister, McKinzie, discovered this fun pattern at a Relief Society activity at church. It's a child's apron made out of a hot pad, a kitchen towel, and some ribbon. I finished it yesterday, but Ella flat out refused to wear it. I put on my apron to encourage her, but she wasn't interested until she started "cooking" in her kitchen tonight. I'm excited because it's big now, but should last her for quite some time. Plus, I bought the materials at the dollar store, so this cost no more than $5 with all materials.

Having Ella's little kitchen in the dining room next to the kitchen has been so fun. She loves to make our family food and especially appreciates generous noises and high praise of "delicious!" The other night, she "fed" Uncle Ben over the phone and we kept saying, "Make eating noises, Ben." She loved it! I recently gave her some silicone cupcake holders (they are horrible to clean) to play with and she loves to make cupcakes. She also puts them on everyone's head -especially cute on Ezra's - and declare "Happy Birthday!"

Post 2: Play in the Snow Before it Melts!

I have been neglecting my blog; there just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day and I wonder if anyone reads it. Tim's cousin, Rebecca, suggested to me that it's something my kids can look back on. Plus, I know Mom likes to read it. So, I'm trying to catch up on posting some pictures and news about the kids.

A couple of weekends ago, we actually had some snow left on a Saturday morning. It's been so cold and bitter here lately, we just haven't had snow to play in. Plus, it's too difficult for me to get Ella out in the snow when it's so cold out because of Ezra. So, when Tim and Ella saw snow a few Saturdays ago, they ran to the store to buy a sled. Ella was having so much fun as Tim pulled the sled around our back yard in the snow. It was serendipitous that they chose to take advantage of the snow right away; it melted a few hours after I took these pictures.

I am so grateful for Dad's and the energy and enthusiasm Tim brings to parenting. Ella always looks forward to her Dad coming home to play "gotcha" and help her expend all of her energy!

All Dressed Up

We finally found our camera battery and took some pictures of the kids. My mom sent them both adorable Sunday outfits and I wanted to get a few shots of them together. I actually think these are some of the best pictures we have of either of our kids. Yeah, Tim!

My New Business Endeavor

First of all, I intend to post more pictures of the kids, but can't locate the battery charger for the camera. Once I do, I'll do an update on our family. Ezra changes so much each week!

I wanted to share my new business endeavor. I love being a stay-at-home mom and caring for my children. I have, however, been in search of opportunities to help me contribute to our family's income while prioritizing my family. Some friends recently introduced me to their Scentsy business and I decided to join their team as a consultant.

I am very excited to share Scentsy. This product is not just another candle. With Scentsy, you can enjoy the pleasures of a candle – adding decoration and fragrance to your home – without any of the hassles. Scentsy has none of the bothersome aspects of a candle; no flame, soot or wick; making it a safe way to enjoy moe than 80 Scentsy fragrances. In addition, the Scentsy system is affordable and it’s easy to change scents according to your mood.

I’ve come to truly appreciate the benefits of the Scentsy system with the birth of my second child. With the addition of a second set of diapers my home could be odor-challenged. Diaper pails are helpful, but do not completely mask the smell of diapers. With Scentsy, I can add a pleasant aroma to my home and the diapers pose no problem. Since the wax does not get hot enough to burn little fingers and there is no fire involved, I don't worry about placing Scentsy warmers around my home. I also love the variety of designs available in the Scentsy warmer. It's simple to choose the right design and scent to compliment any room.
I invite you to explore my website at www.scentsy.com/mindyfarmer and see all that Scentsy has to offer for yourself! When you're ready to select your warmer and scents, email me at mindyfarmer@hotmail.com or call 217.204.2027. We can select a date for your Scentsy party and you can earn free and discounted Scentsy product!
